Last summer, international LCC's Graduate Student Sergio SammarchiSergio Sammarchi was selected to take part in the 2019 Climate Journey Summer School, thanks to the collaboration established between LCC and Climate-KIC, supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.

Here are some words from Sergio about his experience: "This program is held by EIT Climate-KIC's Educational Department and it offers a unique combination of academic study & real-world experience. I joined more than 400 participants in a 4-week, full-time, intensive, residential learning programme hosted by Dublin-s Trinity College in Ireland, Timisoara West University FEAA in Romania and Budapest's European Youth Centre in Hungary. I met participants, Coaches, Managers and Professors from more than 50 different nationalities, as well as renewed experts in climate change, innovation, and business, who supported me across the Journey. Overall, I feel that this Summer School offered me lot of extraordinary experiences and gave me new motivation and inspiration to work hard on fighting climate change with innovative ideas both in my research in LCC and my future career. I am thankful to LCC and Edinburgh Dean Ed ( 艾 ) Craig in particular for giving me such a nice opportunity.”
