2019 Graduate International Summer School — “Green for Life” will be organized and hosted by China-UK Low Carbon College (LCC), Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Through focusing on Frontier Lectures, Seminars, Enterprise Visits as well as Study Tour in low carbon area, this Graduate International Summer School aims at facilitating academic communication, enhancing scientific research abilities, encouraging innovation and motivating achievements.

2. Program Highlights

2019 LCC Graduate International Summer School consists of four parts.

• The Frontier Lectures will concentrate on Carbon Accounting, Carbon Finance, Utilization of Carbon Resources, Sustainable Energy, Energy Saving and Carbon Emission Reduction, etc.
• In the Seminar module, students will be encouraged to team up, have discussions and make preliminary research plans based upon certain proposition. Each team is supposed to make a final report. Our experts group will instruct and conduct professional evaluations during the whole course.
• Low carbon related investigations will be carried out during Enterprise Visits.
• In the end, the participants (especially for international participants) will take a Study Tour to experience in person the practice of low carbon idea as well as local culture in Shanghai.

5. About China-UK Low Carbon College

China-UK Low Carbon College (LCC), established by Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) together with its UK counterparts —— the University of Edinburgh, is one of the joint institutes under SJTU. Supported by Shanghai Lingang Area Development Administration, LCC is a pilot program as regards international collaborative education in carbon resources management. Customized open courses and curriculum in Carbon Finance, Carbon Management and Circular Economy are delivered with forward-looking contents and appropriate flexibility at LCC, accommodating diversified learning needs of people from different areas and at distinct levels, thus to cultivate professional and creative experts in low carbon field.

The program is open to senior undergraduate students and post-graduate students from all over the world that interested in low carbon field.
