About LCC
Established in 2017, the China-UK Low Carbon College (LCC) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) is the first low carbon institute of its kind in China to tackle climate challenges. LCC was co-founded by world-renowned universities in the UK and Singapore, and Administration of Lin-Gang Special Area, aiming to offer international education programs. The integration of higher education, talent training, industrial incubation, and technological innovation in LCC is assisting China in achieving its carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. Guided by the philosophy as “Interdisciplinarity, Industry-academia collaboration, and Internationalization”, LCC builds an international platform to promote the collaborations among universities, governments, and industries, providing solutions to climate challenges in China and globally.
