Applicants from all over the world are welcome to apply for graduate programs offered by the Low Carbon College.
APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY
The following are general requirements for applications to LCC International Graduate Programs.
1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens.
2. Applicants should have outstanding academic performance and potential.
3. A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree (or above) is required. (Applicants who have not yet graduated at the time of application should submit an official letter from their current university indicating the expected graduation date.)
4. Proficiency in English (Please see Language Requirement for SJTU International Graduate Programs).

October 1, 2024: Opening of 2025 applications
December 15, 2024: Deadline for 1st Round of Chinese Government Scholarship applications
February 15, 2025: Deadline for the 2nd Round (final round) of Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) applications
Mar 31, 2025: Deadline for applications for the SGS Scholarship and SJTU Scholarship
May 31, 2025: Deadline for self-supported applications
September 2025: Enrollment

HOW TO APPLY
Step 1: Complete the Online Application
Complete and submit an online application at Study@SJTU (http://isc.sjtu.edu.cn/) before the application deadline. If you wish to apply for the scholarship at the same time, please complete the application before the scholarship deadline.
Step 2: Pay the Application Fee
The application fee is RMB 800 (approx. USD 120), non-refundable and non-transferable. Payment must be made in RMB or USD. You can choose online payment or bank transfer in the online application system.
Step 3: Find an advisor
After passing the screening review by LCC, applicants shall start to find an advisor at LCC. Detailed information about research interests and contacts of faculty can be found at the LCC website.
Step 4: Pass the Panel Interview
Once applicants find a potential advisor at LCC, the student must take and pass the Online Panel Interview. The panel interview will be recorded for documentation.
MATERIALS TO PREPARE
1. Degree Certificates: Please provide scanned copies of your degree certificates. Applicants who have not yet graduated at the time of application should submit an official letter from their current university indicating the expected graduation date.
2. Transcripts: Please submit scanned copies of your transcripts. Applicants for the Master’s program are required to provide their undergraduate transcripts.
3. Proof of Language proficiency. (Please see Language Requirement for SJTU International Graduate Programs)
4. Scanned copy of passport.
5. Passport-size Photo.
6. Personal Statement and Study Plan.
7. Two Letters of Academic Recommendation: Please provide two letters of recommendation from scholars who are associate professors or higher, or from senior professionals in a related academic field. Follow the instructions on the online system for submitting recommendation letters, or upload letters that include original signatures.
Note: If your documents are not in English or Chinese, please have them translated into either English or Chinese by an authorized translation agency. Please scan and upload both the translated and original documents to the application system.
TUITION FEE
150,000 RMB for each full-time Master’s Program at LCC.
