Bio

Yuegui Zhou is a professor of Institute of Thermal Energy Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He started working as a postdoctoral researcher at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1999 to 2001 after receiving his doctorate at Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1999. He worked as an associate professor in 2001 and a professor in 2012 at School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He worked as a visiting scholar at the Institute for Clean and Secure Energy, University of Utah from 2009 to 2010. His research interests include clean coal combustion and gasification, pollutants formation and emission control, oxy-fuel combustion and highly-efficient carbon dioxide capture. He has received the Shanghai Science and Technological Invention Award in 2008, and Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University, Ministry of Education in 2010. Prof. Zhou is a vice secretary-general of National Standardization Technical Committee on Combustion, Energy Saving and Purification of Standardization Administration of China, and member of the Combustion Institute.
