Dear LCC students,
Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus epidemic, LCC has been working hard to support our students during this difficult time. We are grateful to all of you for your quick and calm response to the ongoing situation that allows the university and the college to continue the work while confronting the threat of the virus.
Following the government’s advice about postponing the start of the spring semester, SJTU has advised all students, including international students, to stay at home and not to return to Shanghai or SJTU campus in advance. SJTU and LCC are taking active measures to avoid the disruption caused by the virus, including making new arrangements for the rest of the academic year and replacing face-to-face courses with online teaching.
As the coronavirus is spreading globally, we are very concerned about the health and safety of all our students, especially our international students in Italy and in the UK, and those who are doing double masters overseas. We understand that many of you are feeling anxious and distressed right now, but we hope you can be strong, and keep calm and remain highly alert.
We want to reassure you that we will continue to support you and offer essential services and assistance. We will keep monitoring the virus situation and keep you informed of any important notices. If you need any help from the college or have any questions about the university policies, please contact us. We will do anything we can to support you.
We have been combatting the coronavirus in China for over two months and we can see progress in controlling the epidemic. Yet the world is still confronting a unprecedented challenge, and we should all stick together and count on each other to fight against the epidemic. We will, eventually, get through this together.
Once again, thank you for being patient and supportive as always. We are looking forward to the big LCC family reunion when the crisis is over.
