*课程简介(中文)Course Description

该课程面向国内外研究生,旨在提升国内学生的全球视野、激发培养未来参与国际治理的潜质;也促进国际学生了解中国贡献,为中外交流和SDG解决方案的发现提供交流平台。该课程通过对每个SDG进行简要介绍、评述中国相关基本现状、分析具体中外案例,以及探析未来挑战,来促使学生掌握SDG概念,理解中国在可持续发展方面的基本国情及全球面临的挑战,并运用SDG框架、形成对问题进行经济-社会-环境多维度分析的能力,也结合自身专长、提出潜在SDG解决方案。联合国可持续发展目标旨在2015-2030期间,以综合方式彻底解决社会、经济和环境三个维度的发展问题,使全球转向可持续发展道路。SDG内容有一定的知识深度和广度,并具有明显的交叉学科特征,具体包括:1)消除贫困、2)消除饥饿、3)确保健康生活方式并促进福祉、4)确保优质教育、5)实现性别平等、6)人人享有清洁饮水及用水、7)人人获得可负担并清洁的能源、8)促进体面就业和经济增长、9)促进产业发展、创新与基础设施、10)减少不平等、11)建设可持续的城市和社区、12)确保可持续消费和生产模式、13)采取应对气候变化行动、14)保护海洋生态系统、15)保护陆地生态系统、16)促进制度建设及良治、17)加强全球伙伴关系。

*课程简介(EnglishCourse Description

Aiming to spread the knowledge of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations and to raise the interest in international governance promoting exchanges between different cultural backgrounds, this course provides the international audience a China perspective on the SDGs. For each SDG, this course will introduce the basics, review the development status of China’s relevant work, elaborate on case studies of China or other countries/regions, and discuss the potential challenges. The participants are expected to master the definitions of SDGs, gain an understanding of China’s work in the arena of sustainable development, and develop analytical skills employing a multi-faceted SDG framework. Also, the participants are encouraged to brainstorm solutions that will help realize the SDGs with their own expertise. The UN SDGs were adopted in 2015, consisting of 17 SDGs that cover the societal, economic, and environmental challenges. Specifically, the SDGs include 1) no poverty, 2) no hunger, 3) good health and well-being, 4) quality education, 5) gender equality, 6) clean water and sanitation, 7) affordable and clean energy, 8) decent work and economic growth, 9) industry, innovation and infrastructure, 10) reduced inequalities, 11) sustainable cities and communities, 12) responsible consumption and production, 13) climate action, 14) life below water, 15) life on land, 16) peace, justice and strong institutions, and 17) partnerships for the goals.
