研究聚焦于废弃动力电池、光伏组件、废汽车、废家电、废塑料等城市矿产资源环境友好、高值化和材料化的回收技术和装备,包括稀贵稀散等战略金属提取、功能材料制备等高附加值资源化技术,处理与资源化过程中污染物防控与环境风险评价。在Nature Sustainability、PNAS、Nature Communications、Nature Reviews Chemistry、Chemical Reviews 、Environmental Science & Technology等国际权威期刊发表论文300余篇。研究成果在Environmental Science & Technology 上的News、The New York Times(Science)、New Scientist等30多家期刊网站进行报道和高度评价。
在城市矿山低碳处理与资源化技术与装备研发方面,承担国家重点研发计划项目和课题、国家863、自然科学基金重点项目、自然科学基金面上项目、江苏省双创团队负责人、产业化等项目30余项,获授权发明专利30余项,为中央国家机关和行业重点企业建立产业化生产线10余条,在中央和国家机关、上海、江苏、广东、浙江实现产业化。
