The steel industry is an important pillar of social and economic development and plays an irreplaceable role in the global industrialization process. China-UK Low Carbon College of Shanghai Jiao tong University and China Steel Low Carbon and Clean Industry Innovation Strategy Alliance jointly organized the "First Workshop on Low Carbon Clean Standards and Carbon Management in the Steel Industry" in Shanghai from March 29 to April 1. The training was attended by 68 participants from 29 companies across China, including Baowu, Shougang, Ansteel, Baosteel, Sinosteel, Shagang, Jiu Steel, Ansteel, Hangsteel, Ningsteel and Rizhao.

Participants have said that the training was very rewarding, with strong faculty, detailed and clear course content, and played a positive role in promoting the green transformation of the steel industry and the development of emission reduction.
