About the Forum
The SJTU Low Carbon International Young Scholars Forum is an academic event hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and organized by China-UK Low Carbon College for recruiting outstanding young scholars from all over the world. The forum aims to provide a platform for young scholars from low-carbon related disciplines to communicate and collaborate, to enhance understanding between different disciplines, and to promote cooperation on research and academic innovation in the low carbon fields. Early career scholars in associated fields are encouraged to apply for this forum.

Eligibility
1. Participants should be early career scholars and have obtained a PhD degree from a world-leading university or research institution. Candidates should be able to conduct and lead innovative research projects, demonstrate significant research achievements, and have a great potential in becoming an outstanding scholar in the area.
2. Research areas of participants should be related to carbon finance, management, environment, energy, atmospheric science, and geophysics, including but not limited to:
Climate Change and Countermeasure
Carbon Finance and Carbon Management
Carbon Capture and Storage (CCUS)
Smart Energy and Big Data
Renewables and Energy Storage
Sustainable Technologies and Waste Resource Utilization

About us
Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) is a world-renowned higher education institution and one of the top universities in China. It has established itself as a comprehensive, research-oriented, and internationalized university and ranks 46th worldwide (QS 2023).
China-UK Low Carbon College (LCC) was established by Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) with the joint efforts of the University of Edinburgh (UoE) and Shanghai Lin-gang Government in May 2017.
As the first domestic low carbon college, LCC aims to build up a talent database of world-leading experts in climate change and carbon innovations, and create an interdisciplinary platform for social scientists and engineers to collaborate and contribute to a zero-carbon future.
The Low Carbon College is based in Shanghai Lin-gang, a future smart city located in the South of Shanghai, and has become a key base for the exchange of low carbon ideas, talent, technology and resources to drive solutions to climate challenges. LCC has developed partnerships with many world-class universities, with the University of Edinburgh as the primary international strategic partner, and constantly develop exchanges and cooperation with top international universities, including University College London, Imperial College London, Warwick University, etc.
