On November 14, 2024, the 5th SJTU International Young Scholars Forum on Low Carbon was successfully hosted by the China-UK Low Carbon College of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. This year’s forum attracted over 50 scholars from renowned universities and research institutions, including the University of Cambridge, the National University of Singapore, Northwestern University in the United States, and the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan.
Chaired by Prof. Changying Zhao, Dean of LCC, the event highlighted the college’s commitment to fostering international collaboration and advancing low-carbon research.
Twelve young scholars presented their groundbreaking research on key low-carbon topics, including carbon capture, renewable energy, environmental pollution remediation, flow batteries, lithium-ion batteries, and nanomaterials.
With a focus on low-carbon research and a shared commitment to a sustainable future, the forum provided a platform for global young scholars to collaborate and exchange ideas. This event highlights the college’s dedication to welcoming talented young researchers worldwide and underscores its ambition to foster international collaboration. Looking ahead, the China-UK Low Carbon College continues to promote cross-border partnerships and seeks to drive impactful research in support of a sustainable, low-carbon future.
